TakedownCheck is a service run by Scott Charnley Consultancy Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14926863, registered office C/O T&A Kirk Ltd, Office F13, Pool Innovation Centre, Trevenson Road, Pool, Cornwall TR15 3PL). We decide how your personal information is used, which makes us the data controller.

What we collect

We only read what anyone can see without signing in: your public bio, and the public posts of the accounts you name. We don't search the internet for your work.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We don't send marketing emails unless you've opted in, and we never sell your information.
Who we share it with
- Nobody receives your reports from us. You submit every report yourself. When you do, the platform may pass your name, email and the report to the person who posted the copy. Each pack says so where the platform says so.
- Our service providers, who process it only on our instructions: Cloudflare (website hosting, database, file storage, and Workers AI, which reads the text in a profile screenshot when you upload one), Resend (sending email), Stripe (payments), Google (the YouTube Data API, which we use to read public channel details).
- Professional advisers, courts or regulators if the law requires it.
Some of these providers are based in, or store information in, the United States. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified under it, and otherwise by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the provider's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it

Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of your information
- correct it
- delete it
- restrict how we use it
- object to how we use it (including anything based on legitimate interests)
- move it to another service, where that applies
Email privacy@takedowncheck.co.uk. We'll reply within one month. Deleting your information closes your account, and it can't recall a report you've already submitted.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, 0303 123 1113.
Cookies
We use two cookies, both needed to run the site: one keeps you signed in to your dashboard, and one protects the sign-in form from forged requests. Cloudflare's anti-spam check (Turnstile) runs on the free pack form. No advertising or tracking cookies.
